Welcome to Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions. By booking with us, you embark on a journey not only through Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes and wildlife but also through a commitment to responsible and well-organized travel. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules, responsibilities, and rights of both our guests and our company. By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. We strongly encourage all travelers to review this document carefully before finalizing any bookings.

 

Reservation

All bookings with Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions require a signed travel agreement, which may be completed electronically. This agreement covers all participants listed in the reservation. The individual making the booking is responsible for ensuring that every participant complies with the terms of the agreement. Once the agreement is accepted, a confirmation will be issued via email.

 

Payments

  • A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required within 14 days of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be settled no later than 65 days before the tour commencement.
  • Bookings made within 65 days of the tour start date require full payment at the time of reservation.
  • Failure to complete payments on schedule may result in cancellation, and deposits may be non-refundable.

 

Price and Service Adjustments

While we aim to maintain advertised prices and services, Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions reserves the right to adjust pricing if national park fees, taxes, or transportation costs change. Any necessary adjustments will be communicated promptly. Changes to essential services may occur up to 14 days before the start of the tour.

 

Medical Conditions and Special Needs

Travelers must notify us in writing at the time of booking regarding any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that may affect participation. Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings if we cannot safely accommodate specific needs. Your safety and comfort are our foremost priority.

 

Documentation Accuracy

All travel documents, itineraries, and confirmations should be checked immediately upon receipt. Any errors or discrepancies must be reported to Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions within 14 days. Failure to notify us may result in additional costs, which will be the responsibility of the traveler unless the error originated from our team.

 

Cancellation by Customer

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 65–50 days before the tour: 50% of the total tour price is non-refundable.
  • 50–0 days before the tour: 100% of the total tour price is non-refundable.

Deposits for accommodations, flights, or special activities are non-refundable. No-shows or partial use of services will not be refunded; any unused services will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

 

Cancellation by Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions

We may cancel a tour under the following circumstances:

  • If a participant significantly disrupts the tour experience, no refund will be issued.
  • If the minimum number of participants is not met 60 days prior to departure, we will notify you and refund any deposits.

 

Liability

Mountains 2 Marshes Expeditions ensures careful planning, reliable service delivery, and responsible management of partners and suppliers. However:

  • We are not liable for services provided by third parties, including airlines, ground transport providers, or local vendors.
  • Travelers are responsible for adhering to local laws, securing valid travel documents, and obtaining comprehensive travel insurance.

 

Adventure and Outdoor Risks

Safari and adventure tours inherently involve natural risks, including:

  • Wildlife encounters
  • Uneven or rugged terrain
  • Variable weather conditions
  • Adventure activities such as hiking, boating, or trekking

Participants acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for their personal safety. Adequate preparation, including first aid knowledge and travel medicine, is strongly recommended.

 

Participant Responsibilities

Travelers are expected to:

  • Follow all tour guidelines and instructions from guides
  • Avoid damage to property, equipment, or wildlife habitats
  • Report any concerns or complaints promptly
  • Respect local communities, cultures, and natural environments

Information regarding local partners, emergency contacts, and safety procedures will be provided. Participants are required to report any discrepancies immediately.
