Tarangire National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you depart the Serengeti and drive approximately 150 km, a 3- to 4-hour journey, to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The highlight of this day is the descent into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most densely populated wildlife destinations on Earth. The crater floor stretches 260 square kilometers and is often called the eighth wonder of the world due to its staggering concentration of animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, wildebeests, and the endangered black rhino.
